Tanap issued a call for proposals for a new visiting order

Since mid-December, entry to the Tatra National Park with a dog has been prohibited in almost the entire territory, and thanks to the created petition, we have collected 4,674 signatures to this date, we have stirred discussions, various media have published articles about the petition, Tanap has issued an addendum to the decree on "distracted" territories, in order to connect some parts where, according to the decree, entry with a dog was prohibited, and after three months, Tanap comes with a call in which it will accept suggestions for a new visiting order until the end of March. Each of you can participate in this challenge.

It was not an easy three months. Many people on social media shared posts with a dog in the Tatras and tried to follow the permitted routes, but there were also a huge number of those who did not pay attention to these regulations, and even though I am not identified with the Tanap regulation, I am not in favor of breaking the regulations, because in the case of a fine, you will not harm only yourself, but the whole wide group of tourists who go to the mountains with four-legged companions.

We still have the opportunity to comment on the decree on the new visiting rules, and Tanap himself has just offered this welcoming step. Until March 31, they will receive suggestions and proposals for its updating, which they will deal with, they will assess them in accordance with the interests of nature protection, and they will incorporate the relevant suggestions. You can find information on their website and you can send suggestions to the e-mail address sekretariat@tanap.sk . Please write your comments and suggestions politely and to the point.

We, the creators of the petition itself, will also use this call and incorporate your signatures, contributions and suggestions into the report to appeal for wider opportunities to enter Tanap with a dog, but of course with respect for order and with great consideration for nature protection.

I believe that our efforts and love for the mountains alongside our four-legged companions will also be rewarded by the welcoming step of the Tanap administration.

You can still share and sign the petition.
